Coast Guard medevacs man
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a man from the Fairway Anchorage at Southwest Pass, Louisiana, Sunday.
Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a report at 11:30 a.m. of a 28-year-old man who was experiencing difficulty breathing.
Watchstanders launched a Coast Guard Station Venice 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew at 1:00 p.m. The boatcrew arrived on scene at 2:25 p.m. and safely transferred the survivor to local emergency services waiting at Station Gulfport at 4:07 p.m.
The survivor was taken to Plaquemines Medical Center in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, and was reported in stable condition.
