Coast Guard medevacs man from towing vessel near Galveston
HOUSTON — A Coast Guard boat crew medevaced a man from a tow vessel in the Houston Ship Channel between Galveston and Bolivar Peninsula Saturday.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., the crew of the tow vessel Heath contacted Sector Houston Galveston watchstanders and requested a medevac for a crew member who had experienced a seizure.
Station Galveston sent a boat crew to recover the man. They brought him back to shore, where he was transferred to EMS and on to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
The man’s condition is unknown.
