Coast Guard medevacs woman from charter boat in Gulf of Mexico
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Coast Guard patrol boat crew medevaced a 27-year-old woman from a charter boat 35 miles off Port Aransas, Monday afternoon.
The Coast Guard Cutter Steelhead crew medevaced her after receiving a distress call at 1 p.m. from the charter boat, stating a woman aboard had a seizure and fell, injuring her head. Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders coordinated the medevac.
They are currently enroute to Coast Guard Station Port Aransas to meet EMS.
The Steelhead is an 87-foot patrol boat homeported in Port Aransas.
