Coast Guard medevacs vessel master
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a vessel master near Southwest Pass, Louisiana, Monday.
Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a call at 5:45 a.m. of a male suffering from chest pains aboard the chemical tanker, FPMC 28, and launched a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 helicopter aircrew at 7:45 a.m.
The aircrew arrived on scene at 8:20 a.m. and transferred the survivor to West Jefferson Memorial Hospital at 9:20 a.m.
The survivor was reported in stable condition.
