This is a follow-up to CSMS message 15-000065

1. Importers are reminded of the requirement to submit the Mexican sugar export license through the Document Imaging System (DIS) as a condition of entry for all applicable consumption entries of sugar from Mexico.

2. Clarification of procedure to report the Mexican sugar export license number via ACE and ACS Automated Broker Interface (ABI).

Filers should submit the last 9 digits of the license number ONLY when inputting ACE entry summary data.

For ACS entry summaries, CBP is in the process of updating the ACS system to accept the Mexican sugar export license number format. Until the necessary changes are made, the trade should submit the ACS entry summary without the Mexican sugar export license number. A future CSMS message will be sent indicating when to begin sending the Mexican sugar export license number with the ACS entry summary information.
