CBP Looking for Responses from the Electronics Industry on Survey Regarding Centers of Excellence and Expertise (CEE)

CBP is working with the Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events (CREATE), headquartered at the University of Southern California (USC) to evaluate the benefits to the importing community of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Centers of Excellence and Expertise (CEE) Program.

CREATE was the first university-based Center of Excellence in Research and Education established by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with a mission to reduce terrorism impacts through the advancement of risk and economic science. The first phase of the study is on the Electronics CEE, which is based in Long Beach, California, and serves companies importing Consumer Electronics, Information Technologies, and related Electric items.

CBP is looking for members of the electronics industry to take the survey and help us evaluate the benefits to this community from CEE processing. Responses should take from one to two hours to complete. The survey is open until March 15, 2014.
