Due to inclement weather from Winter Storm Leon, the Port of Charleston, South Carolina, closed today January 28. 2014 at 1300. In addition, we anticipate a delayed opening on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at 1300. Updates will be provided via the port’s weather hotline at (843) 579-6599. For emergency service requests, please contact Supervisory CBP Officer Matthew Shone at (843) 408-8344.



A local closure day is granted to all who file entries at the Port of Charleston, South Carolina. CBP is extending an additional day, without penalty, for all entry summaries and payments of duties that were due on January 28, 2014 in the Port of Charleston, South Carolina.



The ports of Columbia, Greenville, and Myrtle Beach, SC will remain open at this time.
