SUBJECT: END OF FDA CENTRALIZED ENTRY REVIEW PILOT

FDA is issuing this communication as notification of the end of FDA’s Centralized Entry Review Pilot.

Starting on August 12, 2013, FDA began conducting a Centralized Entry Review Pilot. The Pilot was originally scheduled to be in effect through November 2, 2013.

Considering the lapse in appropriations which took effect October 1, 2013, FDA decided to end the Pilot effective 10:30pm (EST) on September 30, 2013.

Effective 10:30pm (EST) on September 30, 2013, FDA entry review coverage for the affected ports of entry (2095, 2791, 2792, 2795, 2870, 2895, 3195, 3196, 4670, 4671, 5295, 5296, 5297, and 5298) reverted back to the pre-Pilot offices.

Importers and/or entry filers who file through the identified port codes should direct communications to the FDA District covering the Port of Entry for the entry. FDA District contact information can be found at the following link: http://www.fda.gov/ForIndustry/ImportProgram/ucm319216.htm
