Sea carriers have had the capability of adding and updating vessel records in ACE for some time.
However, sea carriers are still obligated to inform CBP via the Sea Lloyds mailbox (amssealloyds@cbp.dhs.gov) when they create or update records in ACE so a duplicate record or update can be made in ACS. Currently we must still maintain vessel records in both systems. In the future we will be turning off the ACS functionality.
