CSMS # 64366327 - ACE Entry Summary Create/Update CATAIR Updated with Aluminum Smelt and Cast and Steel Melt and Pour Changes
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has updated the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Entry Summary Create/Update CATAIR (v103) with the following changes:
- For the 54-record, Type 07 (Aluminum Smelt and Cast Country Detail):
- Updated introductory text to remove reporting requirement for regular aluminum on the Generally Approved Exclusion (GAE) list.
- For the 54-Record, Type 08 (Steel Melt and Pour Country Detail):
- Updated introductory text and date element descriptions to indicate that reporting of the Country of Melt and Pour and Applicability Code are mandatory for both steel and steel derivatives.
The ACE Entry Summary Create/Update CATAIR (v103) is currently posted under the “Chapters: Current Capabilities” section of CBP’s CATAIR webpage. These updates will be available in the Certification and Production environments on March 12, 2025.
