CSMS # 63093090 - Information on Customs Broker Permit User Fee Changes Effective October 1, 2024
Pursuant to the General Notice (89 FR 59126) published July 22, 2024, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is adjusting certain customs user fees and corresponding limitations established by the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) for Fiscal Year 2025, which is effective as of October 1, 2024.
The Customs Broker Permit User Fee amount changed from $174.80 to $180.57. All broker permits issued on or after October 1, 2024, are subject to the new user fee.
Currently active permits are also subject to the new fee amount when paying the calendar year 2025 (CY 25) annual user fee. The CY 25 annual user fee payment due date and eCBP portal opening for payment submission will be announced in a future Federal Register Notice. CBP will not collect the CY 25 annual user fee for active permits until after the due date is published.
