CSMS # 62477650 - Electronic Export Manifest (EEM) – Implementation Guide (IG) updates
Electronic Export Manifest (EEM) will be implementing three (3) validations to promote accurate formatting in the EEM party details. The EEM data elements must be submitted in the correct segment outlined in the EEM Implementation Guides (IGs). The validations will initially be set to INFORMATIONAL.
The following validations have been added to the EEM (IG) Appendix J – Response Codes
640— MISSING SH PARTY INFO— B/L Shipper party information is missing
641— MISSING CN/UC PARTY INFO— Both B/L Consignee and Ultimate Consignee party information are missing. Need provide at the least one of them.
642— INVALID DEST CTRY CODE— B/L Consignee/Ultimate Consignee party info country code is not provided or is not valid.
They will be available for CERT testing October 8, 2024.
