CSMS # 60711485 - REMINDER: ACE Portal Modernization – Broker Point of Contact Designation Requirements
Pursuant to the Modernization of the Customs Broker Regulations Final Rule (87 FR 63267) under 19 CFR 111.21(d) and 111.3(b), brokers must designate the following:

Record-keeping Point of Contact: A current, knowledgeable employee as the contact for brokerage-wide recordkeeping requirements

Outside of Business Hours Point of Contact: A current, knowledgeable contact who is available to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) during and outside of normal business hours to respond to customs business issues.
Brokers who have an ACE Portal account must designate the above-mentioned contacts in the National Permit record in their ACE Portal account. Refer to the Modernized ACE Portal – Broker Reporting Quick Reference Card for guidance on designating these contacts.
Brokers who do not have an ACE Portal account must satisfy these reporting requirements by providing the above-mentioned contact information in writing to the processing Center through the which their license was issued.
