CSMS # 60690378 - REMINDER: ACE Portal Modernization – SSN Masking and Mode of Communication Features
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reminds trade users of two features available in the ACE Portal:
1. Social Security Number (SSN) masking for licensed brokers and broker employees:
CBP enables ACE Portal Account Owners (AO) to restrict account access for Proxy Account Owners (PAO) and Account Users (AU). Specifically, when an AO navigates to the legacy ACE Portal and sets PAO and AU account access to “Read Only,” the affected users are unable to see SSN information in both the legacy ACE Portal and the modernized ACE Portal account views. For more information on adjusting access settings in the legacy ACE Portal, review the Legacy ACE Masking PII Reference Guide.
2. Mode of Communication settings in the Organizational Broker account:
Organizational Broker account users may now use the modernized ACE Portal to adjust mode of communication settings. As a reminder, by setting mode of communication to the “Portal,” users may receive electronic form notifications from CBP. For more information on setting the mode of communication in the ACE Portal, review the ACE Forms Quick Reference Guide.
