CSMS # 56801760 - Electronic Export Manifest – ACE Production Deployment of Response Message 199 – (INVALID BILL TYPE) today

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) had a scheduled Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Production Environment deployment today for the Ocean Electronic Export Manifest. The deployment included the release of a new Informational Response Message 199 – (INVALID BILL TYPE) is now available.

Documentation related to the new response 199 – (INVALID BILL TYPE) is now available in the Appendix J – Response Codes and can be found at: https://www.cbp.gov/document/guidance/ace-export-manifest-appendix-j.

Trade and Software Developers that submit via the Electronic Data Interface (EDI) should update their software for these changes.
