CSMS # 56716301 - APHIS Reminds Stakeholders to Submit LPCOs in PG13 and PG14 Record Lines in APHIS Message Sets

Importers use APHIS' Core Message Set to report their trade-related import data, which Federal inspectors use to inspect and clear commodity shipments entering the United States. Recently, the APHIS Core Message Team started sending notices to filers who are submitting incomplete or incorrect data for licenses, permits, certificates, and other documents (LPCOs) in PG 13 and PG 14 record lines of the APHIS Core Message Sets.

LPCOs can include licenses, permits, sanitary certificates, phytosanitary certificates, certificates of origin, health certificates, and required manufacturer statements. And as a reminder, LPCOs in PG13 and PG14 record lines are repeatable when multiple documents apply to a PGA message set line.

Stakeholders submitting appropriate LPCO data through the APHIS Core Message Set assist inspectors' efforts, support the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system validation, and provide efficient cargo clearance.
