CSMS # 55152029 - REMINDER - February 24, 2023 Annual User Fee Due Date
The 2023 annual customs broker permit user fee is due by February 24, 2023.
Who Owes a User Fee
The fee for calendar year 2023 is $163.71 and is due to the processing Center no later than February 24, 2023. The annual permit user fee will only be collected for active national permits. All brokers who were transitioned to a national permit on December 19, 2022, owe a 2023 user fee for the transitioned national permit. No user fees will be due for district permits because they were eliminated prior to the 2023 calendar year.
Payment of User Fee
The Customs Broker Permit User Fee payment is not yet programmed in an automated system and therefore must be submitted to the Broker Management Officer (BMO) at the processing Center (port location) through which the broker’s license was issued. Failure to make the payment deadline may result in permit revocation.
If you have questions about payment submission, contact the BMO at the processing Center through which your license was issued. BMO Contact Information by processing Center can be accessed on CBP’s Broker webpage.
The Annual User Fee General Notice can be accessed at the Federal Register website.
If you have questions regarding the Federal Register Notice, contact the Broker Management Branch, Office of Trade, at brokermangement@cbp.dhs.gov.
