CSMS # 54292924 - Information on Issue Affecting the Ocean Import Manifest X.12 309 Automated Manifest Download

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is aware of an issue with the Automated Manifest Download transmission to Port Authorities, in which the non-containerized equipment code “NC” is not populating in the correct field. Currently, the download is incorrectly placing the “NC” code in the VID02 field instead of the VID03 field.

CBP has identified a solution for this issue and expects to deploy the fix on January 7, 2023.
