CSMS #50050264 - AMS Marketing Order Rejection for Tomato HTS Codes

USDA/Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS), Marketing Development Division (MDD) would like trade to be aware of the following:

Tomato entries filed in ACE for AMS Marketing Order message sets are receiving a reject message for HTS not subject to program requirements. This is currently affecting fresh tomatoes imported into the United States under HTS Codes 0702002080 and 0702002091, which are AMS 8e regulated commodities. To correct this issue, Customs and Border Protection is currently working on a fix that is planned for deployment to production on Saturday 11/13/2021. Any Customs Brokers filing tomato entries that receive this error, please contact USDA Compliance and Enforcement Branch at complianceinfo@usda.gov or 8eimports@usda.gov for alternate filing options and documentation requirements.
