CSMS #48527555 - Government Closure on June 18, 2021

On June 17, 2021, President Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act commemorating Juneteenth as a federal holiday. As June 19 falls on a Saturday this year, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will operate as a holiday on June18, 2021. Self-filers and brokers should plan CBP-related business accordingly.

Entry Filers: Entry Summaries already designated on Statement for June 18, 2021 prior to the announcement of the holiday will still print on Friday, June 18, 2021. For those entry summaries not yet on statement and will be, use statement print date of June 21, 2021.

For the statements created on June 18, 2021, the trade can authorize payment on the 18th or later. Regular Daily Statement Finals will transmit on Thursday, June 24 morning due to the holiday. Filers can present or pay on Monday, June 21, 2021 without penalty.

After 4:35 pm ET today, attempts to place a summary on statement 06/18/2021 will receive error code 204 (Prelim Stmt Date is Sat, Sun, or Hol).
