The purpose of this message is to remind the trade community that on April 6, 2021 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will deploy functionality to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) for the submission of more robust Craft Beverage Modernization Act (CBMA) data through the Automated Broker Interface (ABI) to improve the claims review process.
CBP will be collecting, through ABI, seven required data elements when the CBMA claim indicator “C” is selected, either at time of entry or when submitting a Post Summary Correction (PSC).
CBP published an updated CBP and Trade Automated Interface Requirements (CATAIR) document with additional technical information regarding the submission and details of the required seven data elements.
Additional guidance on the submission of the required additional data elements will be forthcoming before the April 6th deployment.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact CBMA@cbp.dhs.gov. CBP encourages trade members to continue to visit the CBMA page on CBP.gov at https://www.cbp.gov/trade/basic-import-export/craft-beverage-modernization-tax-reform-act-2017
