CAMS #46665270 - Goods with Country of Origin of Cuba can be Manually Filed in ACE Cargo Release with Valid Office of Foreign Assets Control License
ACE has deployed the ability to file ACE Cargo Release (SE) for transactions with merchandise originating from Cuba accompanied by a valid Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) license to ACE’s Production Environment. Previously, these transactions required paper filing with manual entry by CBP officers, but the manual release was systemically blocked by an UDR in ATS. The new functionality will allow Non-ABI/Manual Entry/Entry Summary filing for Cuban-originated merchandise, as long as a valid OFAC license is included in the entry (via DIS) and all other requirements mandated by 31 CFR Part 515 are met. After the OFAC license is verified by CBP officers, the shipment will be released.
This functionality is scheduled to deploy to ACE production on April 08, 2021.
A Quick Reference Card (QRC) is located on the ACE Training Resource Center (ATRC).
