CAMS #46611067 - Auto Liquidation of Extended Entries
As the auto liquidation timeline chart indicates, entries under team review will liquidate the Friday before the 363rd day from the date of entry. An entry with an extension will fall under this category. However, CBP users should make every effort to liquidate these entries with team review prior to the extension expiration date to avoid the auto liquidation from occurring.
When a CBP user extends an entry, ACE will add one year to the date of entry, regardless of the date the extension was added. Example: Date of entry: 9/1/2020 When the first extension is added, the extension will expire: 9/1/2021 If a CBP user adds another extension, the extension will expire: 9/1/2022
ACE treats the extension expiration date as the “new” date of entry and will auto liquidate the entry on the Friday before the 363rd day from this date. Example: Date of entry: 9/1/2020 Original auto liquidation date: 8/27/2021 (this is the Friday before the 363rd day from the date of entry which is 8/30/2021) When the first extension is added, the extension will expire on 9/1/2021 New auto liquidation date: 8/6/2022 (this is the Friday before the 363rd day from the “new” date of entry which is 8/30/2022)
The trade has access to both the ES-010, Future Liquidations, and the ES-702, Official Notice of Extension, Suspension and Liquidation, to review extensions. The Trade Reports Catalog is available in ACE Reports and identifies and describes these reports. CBP also issued CSMS #16-000941 to notify the trade about the reports catalog.
