CSMS #45406801 - The PGA Message Set CATAIR has been Updated

The PGA Message Set CATAIR has been updated and put into the “Chapters: DRAFT for Future Capabilities” section of CBP.gov. Two disclaim codes were added. Direct link: https://www.cbp.gov/document/guidance/ace-catair-pga-message-set

Disclaim code F was added for FDA. Trade may only use this for Entry Type 21 when the product is manufactured in any state of the US, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico and sourced directly to the warehouse without ever leaving the US.

Disclaim code G was added for USDA APHIS Lacey. Trade will use this for deminimis purposes. For questions, please contact USDA APHIS Lacey Act at ace.itds@aphis.usda.gov.

Please see the Message Set document for specific disclaim definitions. Both agencies are developing updates to their Supplemental Guides, to include this the additional disclaim code.

CBP is currently working on the technical development associated to these disclaim codes. A CSMS will be issued announcing when these codes and any associated updates, are expected in CERT and PROD. CBP expects to give trade at least 30 days’ notice between the CERT and PROD deployment dates.

NOTE: the functionality associated with each of these disclaim codes may not be deployed into CERT and PROD at the same time.
