This CSMS updates CSMS #45195422 & #43227909

Trade Policy Updates

As referenced in CSMS#45195422, please be advised that a DRAFT version of the Drawback CATAIR has been updated to reflect the deployment of USMCA Free Trade Agreement requirements for Drawback in ACE and other updates. The changes will be deployed in the Certification (CERT) environment on January 14, 2021 and deployed to the Production (PROD) environment on March 13, 2021.

The drawback trade community should not file any USMCA drawback claims until the official deployment into PROD. An additional CSMS message will be issued once the technical changes to ACE have deployed allowing claim acceptance. Please continue to file NAFTA drawback claims, if applicable, under the NAFTA requirements.

USMCA regulations, which are pending, will be housed in 19 CFR 182. Further guidance will be issued in a CSMS once regulations are final. (CSMS#43227909)
