CSMS #44420967 - USMCA Non-Originating Canada Refined Sugar Tariff-Rate Quota (TRQ) Availability beginning October 19, 2020

The 2020 USMCA TRQ for non-originating sugar refined in Canada (HTS 9823.09.09) improperly filled on September 22, 2020. The USMCA TRQ will reopen on October 19, 2020 at 8:30 am Eastern Time.

The remaining amount on this TRQ is 4,304,128 KG.

This amount will become available at 8:30 am Eastern Time on October 19, 2020.

The TRQ closing date December 31, 2020 remains unchanged.

This TRQ will accept only non-originating Canadian refined sugar.

This is not an opening moment event. Entries will not be accepted until the quota is opened at 8:30 am ET October 19, 2020.

Entries will be handled via the normal “first come, first served” procedure and will continue to be processed until the quota limit is exhausted or the period expires. If you have any questions please contact CBP Headquarters Quota and Agriculture Branch by email at HQQuota@dhs.cbp.gov.
