CSMS #42072893 - CQ Cargo Manifest Query

Currently, CBP is experiencing processing delays with transmissions involving the CQ Cargo Manifest Query of Ocean Master Bills of Lading containing more than 10,000 House Bills.

CQ Cargo Manifest Queries for these shipments are currently returning ACE System Failure ‘ASF’ responses because the number of output records exceeds the allowable record count of 99,999 records.

In order to reduce the response message size and diminish delays, CBP is requesting Filers modify the query request for these shipments to only include results for the Master Bill of Lading (i.e. do not request related House Bill or Entry data) and use the Limit Output Option to minimize the output.

Therefore, please transmit the following fields as described in Cargo Manifest / In-Bond / Entry Status Query IG in the WR1 record as follows:

Request for Related BOL Indicator (position 71) - transmit space or ‘N’
Request for Bill of lading and Entry data Indicator (position 72) - transmit space or ‘N’
Limit Output Option (position 73) - transmit space or ‘1’
