CSMS #41950198 - Electronic Export Manifest Implementation Guide Updates
The following updates to the Electronic Export Manifest Implementation Guides have been posted at https://www.cbp.gov/trade/ace/export-manifest
At this time the changes only affect the rail and ocean electronic export manifest process.
Ocean CAMIR Export Status Notifications from CBP
R03 – FIRMS Code, will optionally be used to report the FIRMS code where the inspection is requested.
R03 - For inspection hold messages, CBP will provide instructions or contact information for the inspection in the free form text.
ACE Ocean Export Manifest – In-Bond and Vessel Arrival/Departure Message
H01 Message Code – A new code (R) is allowed for carriers to inform CBP that the cargo is ready for inspection.
H01 Issuer Code – Report SCAC of BOL
H01 Firms Location – Will optionally be used to report the FIRMS code where the inspection is requested or the cargo is ready for inspection.
H02 Reference Identifier – Report the BOL
Export Ocean X12 & Rail X12 - 353 Customs Events Advisory Details
M1501 – A new action code (R) is allowed for carriers to inform CBP that the cargo is ready for inspection.
M1505 – BOL SCAC
M1513, M1514 – BOL number
M1517 – Will optionally be used to report the FIRMS code where the inspection is requested or the cargo is ready for inspection.
Export Ocean X12 & Rail X12 - 350 Customs Status Information
K101 - For inspection hold messages, CBP will provide instructions or contact information for the inspection in the free form text.
Export Rail X12 - 309 Customs Manifest
M12 Segment – The M12 segment is now conditionally required. When reporting 69 type in-bonds, report the in-bond information in the M12 segment.
