On April 25,2018, CBP received reports from Trade participants concerning Deferred Tax amounts missing from the Preliminary Statements issued on April 25, 2018.
CBP deployed an emergency fix into PRODUCTION yesterday. This will fix Today's and all future statements.
CBP is working to correct the Deferred tax data for proper processing of the deferred tax bills.
The Trade has two options to correct the April 25, 2018 statements:
1. A filer can still pay their statement using the QN/PN payment transaction. Current process would not allow deferred tax amounts to be included within the payment amounts.
2. A filer can perform an SU (statement update) and move the affected entries to a new statement date beginning with April 27, 2018 when the entries are still within the 10 day filing period. The new statement will provide the deferred tax amounts.
