CBP has been monitoring incoming Importer Security Filing ABI transmissions from the trade since the conversion to ACE and has noticed a substantial number of filings still formatted improperly. CBP reminds the trade that ACE ESAR Batch/Block must be followed to ensure proper processing. Current ACE Batch/Block CATAIR chapter can be found at https://www.cbp.gov/document/guidance/ace-abi-catair-batch-block-control-chapter. Additionally, CBP is adhering to Importer Security Filing IG documentation in terms of uppercase characters. The latest chapter of the Importer Security Filing ACE CATAIR chapter can be found at https://www.cbp.gov/document/guidance/ace-importer-security-filing-catair. If an ISF is transmitted with a lower case character the system will return an ACE System Failure. This is a change from ACS processing that CBP wants to make the trade aware of. If you still are receiving ACE System Failure messages after these fixes are implemented please contact your assigned Client Representative.
