This month, NOAA Fisheries is hosting a series of public roundtable meetings in Long Beach (7/13), Seattle (7/18), Newark (7/20) and Miami (7/25) to provide trade/industry constituents detailed information on the National Marine Fisheries Service Seafood Import Monitoring Program's (SIMP) traceability data reporting, entry filing, and record-keeping requirements. The program's import reporting and records retention requirements will be mandatory effective January 1, 2018. Meetings include an overview of this program, implementation and pilot testing, discussion of requirements for reporting and record keeping, and the opportunity for side meetings with NOAA SIMP experts.
