Truck Manifest

The ACE Manifest team has completed work to remove non-ISO compliant Mexican state/province codes from being used to file truck manifest records via EDI. The updated informational document will be posted at the following link no later than COB on Friday June 9, 2017: https://www.cbp.gov/document/guidance/ace-truck-manifest-international-state-codes

The state/province codes that are being removed include:

AGS: Aguascalientes (The ISO compliant state code is AGU)

CHI: Chihuahua (The ISO compliant state code is CHH)

CHS: Chiapas (The ISO compliant state code is CHP)

CMP: Campeche (The ISO compliant state code is CAM)

DGO: Durango (The ISO compliant state code is DUR)

DF: Distrito Federal (The ISO compliant state code is DIF)

GTO: Guanajuato (The ISO compliant state code is GUA)

HGO: Hidalgo (The ISO compliant state code is HID)

MCH: Michoacán (The ISO compliant state code is MIC)

NL: Nuevo Leon (The ISO compliant state code is NLE)

QR: Querétaro (The ISO compliant state code is QUE)

QRO: Quintana Roo (The ISO compliant state code is ROO)

TLX: Tlaxcala (The ISO compliant state code is TLA)

TMS: Tamaulipas (The ISO compliant state code is TAM)

This change deployed to the CERT region of ACE on June 7, 2017. The change in Production will occur on August 12, 2017.

After this date, providing a non-ISO compliant Mexican state code on an EDI Truck manifest will result in an error. However, doing so on an EDI Air manifest will Not result in an error, but the ISO-compliant code is still preferred.
