On February 16, 2017, CBP will deploy updates to ACE Cargo Release that will enhance the accuracy of the release date. Effective February 16, ACE Cargo Release will use the estimated date of arrival as the release date for an entry. Once the cargo is arrived at its designated Port of Entry, ACE Cargo Release will update the release date to the actual date of arrival. This actual arrival date/release date will then become the start date for the ten-day window for Entry Summary filing.

Please note, this update does not require any ACE programming changes for the trade community. If issues arise related to incorrect release date behavior, please report these issues to your assigned CBP ABI Client Representative for support.

In addition to this change, over the next month CBP anticipates deploying additional updates to ACE Cargo Release to resolve other issues affecting the trade community, and we will continue to send updates via CSMS.
