Truck Manifest
There are approximately 450 North American trucking companies that utilize message sequence numbering for the 350 and 355 EDI messages in order to ensure they are not missing EDI messages coming from CBP after submitting/editing their truck manifest. On October 2nd, after ACE comes out of the standard outage window, all companies utilizing this functionality will notice that the sequence number has skipped one number. The number is not a result of a missed message and the impacted trucking companies should not think they are missing a message from CBP.
