Trade Policy Updates

On Friday, August 26, 2016, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published an Interim Final Rule (IFR) in the Federal Register announcing the increase in value from $200 to $800 for certain articles that may be imported by one person, free of duty and tax. This amendment of the regulation implements Section 901 of Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 (TFTEA).
