Save the Date: January 11 is #WearBlueDay

  • Who: You and your friends, family, colleagues, and community.
  • What: #WearBlueDay is a one-day hashtag event to raise awareness of human trafficking. Take a photo of yourself and others wearing blue and post it on social media using #WearBlueDay.
  • When: All day Friday, January 11, 2019.
  • Where: On social media: Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Why: Human trafficking happens year-round and #WearBlueDay creates a one-day flood of social media content to raise awareness of the crime.

Raising Awareness in January

January is traditionally dedicated to raising awareness of human trafficking and highlighting the work of individuals and organizations to combat the crime. Don’t wait until #WearBlueDay to get involved. Here are three things you can do today to start educating your community about human trafficking:

  • Like, comment, and share our content on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Let your network know you’ll be participating in #WearBlueDay with these ready-to-use posts under the “Social Media” drop down menu.
