Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Grant Program
USDA is making approximately $60 million in funding available under the Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) Grant Program. This program funds distance learning and telemedicine services, like audio and video equipment, to digitally connect people to education, training and health care resources that are limited or unavailable in remote parts of the country. Rural Utilities Service ReConnect for Fiscal Year 2024
The Rural Utilities Service (RUS), a Rural Development agency of USDA, announces acceptance of applications under the Rural eConnectivity (ReConnect) program for Fiscal Year 2024. These loan and grant funds will be awarded to qualified applicants to fund the costs of construction, improvement, or acquisition of facilities and equipment needed to provide broadband service. Rural Energy for America Program (REAP)
Guaranteed loan and grant funding for agricultural producers and rural small businesses to install renewable energy systems or make energy efficiency upgrades. Agricultural producers may also apply for new energy efficiency equipment and new system loans to support agricultural production and processing. Applications due 3/31/2024, 6/30/2024, and 9/30/2024. Intermediary Relending Program (IRP)
Low-interest loans available to local lenders known as intermediaries, who then re-lend the funds to businesses to improve economic conditions and create new opportunities in rural communities. Applications due 3/31/2024 and 6/30/2024. For more information or to apply contact lad.barney@usda.gov.
Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program (RMAP)
Funding for non-profits, Tribes, colleges, and universities to create revolving loan fund programs and support training and technical assistance for rural microentrepreneurs and microenterprises. Applications due 3/31/2024 and 6/30/2024. For more information or to apply contact lad.barney@usda.gov.
Rural Economic Development Loan / Grant Program (REDL/G)
Zero-interest loans to local utilities to pass through to local businesses for projects that will create and retain employment in rural areas. These programs also provide grants to local utility organizations which use the funding to establish revolving loan funds to finance community facilities. Rural Energy for America Program Technical Assistance Grants (REAP TA)
USDA Rural Development is now accepting applications for the Rural Energy for America Program Technical Assistance Grant Program is for applicants interested in providing assistance to agricultural producers and rural small businesses seeking to apply for a Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant. Value-Added Producer Grant Program (VAPG)
Funding that helps farmers and ranchers generate new products, create marketing opportunities, and increase income through value-added activities. Eligible applicants include independent producers, agricultural producer groups, farmer or rancher cooperatives, and majority-controlled producer-based business ventures. Single Family Housing - Disaster Relief for Montana Homeowners

Community Facilities - Disaster Relief Available for Montana Communities
Grant funding is available through TWO USDA RD programs to repair essential community facilities and water infrastructure damaged by flooding in 2022. Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program
To celebrate water in March, USDA Rural Development offers this funding program for eligible rural areas and towns with populations of 10,000 or Tribal lands in rural areas to construct clean and reliable drinking water systems, sanitary sewage disposal, sanitary solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage to households and businesses.

Program Overview
- Financing is available to rural areas with populations of 10,000 or less. Funds may be used to finance only that portion of the facility serving rural areas, regardless of facility location.
- Local public bodies, nonprofit corporations and Federally recognized tribes may apply.
- Applications are accepted on a continuous basis and can be submitted online in RD Apply.
Highlights

Fixed interest rates between 2.25% - 3.75%, based on service area median household income and if the project alleviates a documented health or sanitary problem. Rates change quarterly.
- Up to 40-year payback period, based on the useful life of the facilities financed.
- Comprehensive funding allows for construction, engineering fees, land, legal fees, and environmental costs to be included.
Applications are accepted year-round.
