Madison, Wis. – June 22, 2017– The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service hosted 10 International Nuffield Farming Scholars for a tri-county tour of conservation and innovation in Wisconsin on June 19, 2017. Each year, the scholars visit one location in the U.S. This is the first time International Nuffield Scholars have visited Wisconsin since the program inception in 1947. Partnering farms for the tri-county tour included Schoepp Farms, LLC, of Lodi; Never Rest Dairy, LLC, of Watertown; and Blue Moon Community Farm, of Stoughton.

The International Nuffield Farming Scholarship awards select individuals each year with the opportunity to research topics of interest, build partnerships globally, and study best agricultural practices. Scholars focus on the challenges of agriculture and the coming centuries with rapidly increasing demands for food, not only in quantity, but meeting the demands of an increasingly quality and environmentally conscious world.
