Final PPQ Strategic Plan Posted on PPQ Website

 

Dear Stakeholder:

I am pleased to announce that we have posted the Road Map to 2015 on the Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) website:  http://www.aphis.usda.gov/plant_health/downloads/PPQStrategicPlan2015.pdf. The final plan reflects the broadest thinking of PPQ’s leaders, employees and stakeholders.

 

I appreciated the perspectives and the suggestions that a number of stakeholders offered regarding the draft plan. The comments we received expanded our thinking. The many endorsements of the plan—and by extension, our goals, our objectives, and our strategies—told us that we were on the right track.

 

We incorporated various suggestions into the plan. As we develop our annual operations plans to implement the strategic plan, we will consider following other suggestions that were more tactical and focused on the short-term.
