NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY – United States: Wildlife Services (WS), a program within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), has issued a Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for a supplement to the Environmental Assessment (EA) entitled “Oral Vaccination to Control Specific Rabies Virus Variants with Human Adenovirus Type 5 Vector in Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia”.  The supplement to the EA evaluated the potential impacts to the quality of the human environment from the broadening APHIS-WS’ ONRAB oral rabies vaccination program into Pennsylvania.

Based on the analyses contained in the Final supplement to the EA and the associated Decision/FONSI, WS concluded that implementation of the proposed action alternative (Alternative 2) would not have a significant impact on the quality of the human environment. A Decision and FONSI was issued on August 9, 2021 selecting to implement the proposed action alternative. A Notice of Availability published in the Federal Register will be forthcoming.
