Animal Care Shares Milestones for First Half of FY 2018

 

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal Care program is sharing its key milestones from the first half of fiscal year 2018.

 

These milestones are captured in a new Animal Care Impact Report that provides updates about how the program supports its varied customers and carries out its responsibilities under the Animal Welfare Act and Horse Protection Act, and assists pet owners and its regulated communities with preparing for emergencies and natural disasters. 

 

These one-page Impact Reports will feature four impact areas:  Inspections and Guidance, Customer Service, Learning Opportunities and Assistance.  These impact areas are defined in Animal Care’s new Purpose Statement.
