Wine Grapes Added to Exempted Host List for Light Brown Apple Moth in California

On August 14, 2015, USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) notified State Plant Regulatory Officials that commercially produced wine grapes (Vitis vinifera) are exempted from the host list for light brown apple moth (Epiphyas postvittana) in California.

APHIS and the California Department of Food and Agriculture and local county agricultural commissioners are working together to reach the goals of this regulatory program.
