Over the past 19 months, AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers have been supporting communities across the nation as they respond to and recover from COVID-19. As communities continue to feel the impact of the pandemic, AmeriCorps wants to ensure we understand the full scope of program engagement and response. The information you provide allows us to better explain our collective impact to partners, elected officials, and stakeholders, and understand how the agency can best support your efforts.
As programs have become more integrated in their local response and recovery efforts, this will likely be the last time we ask for this information in this format. We greatly appreciate you taking a few minutes to respond.
Please let us know how your programs, members/volunteers have served local needs in response to COVID-19 by updating the AmeriCorps Internal Situation Report. Preview the list of questions.
To complete the report, please:
- Detail programs specifically supporting activities related to the support of COVID-19 vaccination, testing, or contact tracing, including outreach, training, or education.
- This includes how many AmeriCorps members or AmeriCorps Senior volunteers are conducting this service; and how many people serving in that capacity in the “Other Quantifiables” section of the report.
- Include only new data. Do not include previously-reported information to help avoid duplication.
- If you would like to be reminded of what you reported previously, please email DisasterReporting@cns.gov.
- If this is the first time you are reporting, please provide the total number of members and/or volunteers.
- Do you oversee an AmeriCorps Disaster Response Team? Do NOT include A-DRT deployment numbers in your report. We are collecting COVID-19 Mission Assignment reports directly from teams on the ground.
We appreciate your participation, and thank you for the incredible work you and your teams are doing to navigate this difficult time. If you have any questions, please email DisasterReporting@cns.gov.
Thank you,
Katrina / Rita / DSU
