On Monday, June 28, we hosted an all grantee call to share how we intend to implement American Rescue Plan funding. We understand that there were technical difficulties with attending the meeting. You can listen to a recording of the meeting and review a copy of the presentation on LITMOS.
Our primary goal with American Rescue Plan funding is to promote transparency, common purpose, and accountability. AmeriCorps Seniors is committed to implementing an effective and equitable plan to support America to Build Back Better through the power of national service and volunteerism.
AmeriCorps Seniors' overall framework is based on community programs and community partnerships. We plan to use this opportunity with the American Rescue Plan to continue to partner with communities to find solutions to their challenges, improve equity in AmeriCorps' grantmaking process, and to aid those who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
We are asking you, our current grantees, to identify where we can partner with those supporting COVID-19 mitigation and recovery efforts, and those also committed to increasing the number of AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers to reopen and rebuild our communities together.
