Hello AmeriGrads,
Congratulations! As part of the 2016 graduating class of
AmeriCorps, you are joining a diverse, engaged, and growing network of more
than 950,000 AmeriCorps alumni. We thank
you for your service and for strengthening communities across America.
As an
AmeriCorps alum, you are a proven civic leader with the potential and passion
to continue getting things done. We invite
you to stay engaged with us and to continue fulfilling your commitment to the
AmeriCorps pledge to “get things done for America.” To help you do that, below are a few resources
to support your transition to “Life after AmeriCorps.”
-
Get resources for “Life after
AmeriCorps.” On our graduation webpage, we outline tips on
maximizing your Segal AmeriCorps Education Award and how to stay involved
with the national service alumni network.
Find tips for talking about AmeriCorps to employers and schools by
using talking points from this Top 5 Skills flyer and this webinar on how to put AmeriCorps on
your resume. Get career resources from Alums and find job opportunities on the Alums jobs board and with nearly 400 public, private, and nonprofit employers that have
joined Employers of National Service.
-
Share your Pride in #AmeriCorps. Join us in celebrating #AmeriGrad! You are among 75,000 AmeriCorps members completing
their service and joining the alumni community. Print your graduation certificate and share it on
social media. Put AmeriCorps on your resume and your LinkedIn profile. Invite your Facebook friends to
serve in AmeriCorps and stay connected by following @americorps and
@AmeriCorpsAlums on Twitter and Facebook.
-
Visit and register with AmeriCorps Alums to connect with fellow
alumni and resources that support your commitment to a lifetime of service. You will not be automatically enrolled
in the alumni association, so if you would like to stay connected and
access Alums’ free resources, register today at AmeriCorpsAlums.org!
We are
committed to supporting your lifetime of service. Thank you, congratulations, and welcome to
the alumni community! We look forward to
staying in touch.
