On a monthly basis HHS performs scans of associated agency websites with a product known as Accenture Digital Diagnostics Engine (ADDE). ADDE performs a measure of Section 508 Compliance of CMS’ websites, yet some items within the site require manual validation (e.g. color contrast, downloads).
HHS has posted the monthly ADDE scores. For the latest 508 compliance scans posted for CMS components, you can go to the CMS Leaderboard report. Note: this leaderboard is updated approximately every 5th of a new month. Please review your component/section and remediate any issues.
If your component/section score is below the 90% threshold, review immediately and remediate. A request for a rescan to measure success can be requested at 508Feedback@CMS.HHS.GOV. Please allow 5-7 days for the rescan to be processed. All rescans will be posted in the appropriate folders.
