AESPCLink 9.0 and AESPCLink Network Edition 4.0 Now Available

This message is intended for AESPcLink filers only

AESPCLink 9.0 and AESPCLink Network Edition 4.0 are now available with support for the FTR informed compliance period in effect through October 2nd, 2014.  These upgrades include the ability to file the Ultimate Consignee Type and License Value fields and the ability to file 7-character foreign trade zone numbers.   The new/updated fields are available for submission and will automatically become mandatory at the end of the informed compliance period.

O   Option 4 Filing

The upgrade to AESPCLink 9.0 (or AESPCLink Network Edition 4.0) is required for users wishing to file Option 4 EEI in AESDirect.  AESDirect has transitioned from automatically determining when EEI should be filed as Option 4 (Approved Postdeparture Filing) to requiring the user to select the filing option.  AESPCLink 9.0 includes the filing option on the Shipment Information tab.  This will default to 2, but can be changed to 4.

Technical and Installation Notes:

Some users, especially those using 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8, may need to use compatibility mode to run AESPCLink.  To enable compatibility mode, right click the AESPCLink icon and select “Properties”.  In the properties dialog, select the “Compatibility” tab and click the “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” radio button and select “Windows XP (Service Pack 3)”.

-       Having “User Account Control” enabled in newer versions of windows may cause problems for AESPCLink.  Settings for User Account Control in windows are found under the “System and Security” section of the control panel.  Users may also have to use the “Run As Administrator…” option, available by right clicking on the AESPCLink icon.
