AES Weblink Developers and Users Reminder

***REMINDER*** Specific Update for AESDirect Weblink Users – New Website Address

You are receiving this message because you have not yet updated your application. If you do not follow the instructions below prior to 9/4/2013, you will NOT be able to file EEI until the update is completed.


This message is intended for users and developers of applications that use the AESWeblink system. In order to comply with federal and Department of Commerce web policies, the AESDirect website address (www.aesdirect.gov) has been revised to directly associate it with the U.S. Census Bureau. As of July 22nd, the new website address is aesdirect.census.gov. (Please make note that the link does not contain the “www.” prefix. If you preface the link with “www.” you will not access the site.)

As a result, your application will need to be updated prior to 9/4/2013 or the EEI you send through the AESWeblink system will not be able to be processed.

The URLs for the AESWeblink Submission and Inquiry interfaces are changing to the following:

Submission – https://aesdirect.census.gov/weblink/weblink.cgi

Inquiry – https://aesdirect.census.gov/weblink/weblink_status.cgi

The new web addresses are available now and the old web addresses will remain available until 9/4/2013. Any submissions made to the old web addresses after 9/4/2013 WILL NOT be processed. All other URLs within the AESDirect system will be updated in a similar manner. Please update all of your internal and external links, bookmarks, and documentation to reflect the new website, aesdirect.census.gov.

The AESWeblink documentation in the Developer’s Center on the AESDirect website has been updated to reflect these changes. Please contact AESDirect technical support at 877-715-4433 if you have any questions.
