CSMS# 17-000581 - Guidance for South Florida Filers Without Power - Additional Snow Days

09/15/2017 02:25 PM EDT

Export

Many local filers in South Florida are still without power due to the effects of Hurricane Irma. CBP will continue to work with all local filers that do not have the ability to transmit due to power outages. Once filers have power and can transmit to CBP, this guidance will be amended to reflect specific filers only. A local closure day is granted to all filers who are without power to file entries at the Ports of 5201 (Miami Seaport), 5203 (Port Everglades), 5204 (Port of West Palm Beach), and 5206 (Miami International Airport).

CBP is extending an additional day, without penalty, for any entry summaries and payment of duties that will be due on September 13 through September 17 in the Ports of 5201 (Miami Seaport) 5203 (Port Everglades), 5201 (Port of West Palm Beach), and 5206 (Miami International Airport).

This guidance only applies to South Florida filers who are still without power. This guidance will be reevaluated every 2 days.

Please notify SES Bernadette Molina at (305) 869-2684 if power has been restored, and you have the ability to transmit entry summaries and payment of duties.
