*UPDATE* Guidance to Trade on Cargo Processing during Hurricane Irma - (CSMS# 17-000546)

CSMS# 17-000546 - Update on CBP Operations for MFO/TFO Ports During Hurricane Irma

In anticipation of the potential impacts of Hurricane Irma, the CBP Miami Field Office (MFO) and Tampa Field Office (TFO) ports are modifying their hours of operations and/or closing ports. Please refer to the information below for port closure information:

• 5201 - Miami Seaport

Miami Seaport Trade shut down operations and will remain closed through the weekend.

• 5202 - Port of Key West

Air and Maritime operations are suspended until further notice.

• 5203 - Port Everglades

Port Everglades shut down operations and remains closed through the weekend.

• 5206 - Miami International Airport (MIA)

Effective September 7, 2017, MIA Cargo Control and Agriculture will only process in-bonds, perishables and all agriculture related entries during the following hours of operations:

Thursday, September 7, 2017 - 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Cargo)

Thursday, September 7, 2017 - 12:00 a.m. - Midnight (Agriculture)

Friday, September 8, 2017 - 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (Cargo)

Friday, September 8, 2017 - 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (Agriculture)

Saturday, September 9, 2017 - 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (Cargo)

Saturday, September 9, 2017 - 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (Agriculture)

Perishable entries that require cargo processing after 2:00 p.m. may be processed at the General Aviation Facility (GAC).

Shipments that require agricultural clearance will be processed at the Cargo Agriculture window until 2:00 p.m.

Agricultural clearance required after 2:00 p.m. will be processed at the Agriculture Air Cargo Office, located at CCC, Second Floor, Room #272.

• 1803 - Port of Jacksonville

The port shut down operations and remains closed through the weekend.

CBP port office, located at 10426 Alta Drive, will be closed on Monday, September 11, 2017, due to Hurricane Irma.

It is anticipated the port office will reopen on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, provided roads and bridges are passable. If they are not, a Public Bulletin will be issued by 8 a.m. on September 12, 2017.

• 5204 - Port of West Palm Beach (WPB)

The port is closing operations as of 6:00 pm today, September 8, 2017 and will remain suspended until further notice. CBP will provide additional updates as new information becomes available.
